Hair Shine Spray Tutorial

The Devoted Things Hair Shine Spray is a light weight hair spray, that uses all-natural ingredients, to help you achieve glossy, soft, smooth hair. This product is not a detangler, so make sure to apply it to hair that has already been combed through. This product can be used before heat styling (with a flat iron, curler or blow drier). However, this hair spray cannot be applied to the eyelashes or eyebrows. This product is also not intended to “hold” the hair in a certain shape, but it is instead intended to enhance and soften the hair’s natural texture and appearance.

Step 1: Comb



First, you need to comb your hair. If you have curly or kinky hair (textures 3a-4c), it is best to comb your hair wet, using lots of natural conditioner, to avoid breakage. If you have straight, or wavy hair (textures 1a-2c), you can choose to comb your hair dry. If you do have straight/wavy hair, consider trying the Devoted Things Hair Detangler.

Step 2: Spray!

On either wet, or dry hair, spray on the hair spray. Hold the bottle 6 to 12 inches away from your head. You want to lightly coat the hair that will be visible, but you don’t need to spray all of your hair. This helps to conserve the product, while still giving your hair the shine you want!

Step 3: Smooth

Use your hands to pat the remainder of the spray evenly onto the surface of your hair. If you have straight hair, you can use a fine-tooth comb to distribute any excess product. If you have curly hair, it is best to use your fingers, to preserve curl definition. After 5-15 minutes, the product should be dry, and you will notice increased shine, and softness!
