Inexpensive, Natural Beauty Tips and Tricks

During Quarantine, I’ve had lots of time to experiment with some of my favorite age-old beauty tips and tricks. With these easy beauty secrets, you can easily achieve a subtle, glowy, no-makeup look- and you can feel relaxed doing it! Although makeup can be a fun way to express your creativity and enhance your look, it can also be expensive and time consuming to use. In this blog, we’ll be focusing on nurturing the body, and enhancing beauty naturally, with easy ways to support the overall look, that don’t require you to wash off smudgy eyeliner, or deal with pore-clogging foundations.

Take A Hot Epsom Salt Bath
Taking regular Epsom salt baths is an easy and inexpensive way to support clear, radiant skin. Hot water helps to open up your pores, allowing toxins and build-ups and easy exit. Salt is also a well known purifier, that can help to minimize acne and further clear the skin. Better yet, Epsom salt is extremely inexpensive in most parts of the US, with an 8 lb. bag costing as little as $5. To take an Epsom Salt bath, scoop 2-3 cups of Epsom salt into a warm/comfortably hot bath. Swish it around, and soak in the bath for as long as you like. As a bonus, you might notice that muscle soreness from a long day is relieved too, as Epsom salt also works as a natural and mild muscle relaxer.
Drink A Glass Of Water Before Bed
A completely underrated beauty tip is the power of drinking water. At night, depending on how long you sleep, your body goes hours without hydration. When it comes to plump looking lips, rosy cheeks and bright eyes, nothing is more important than water. Right before bed, drinking a full glass of water can give your body the hydration it needs to carry away toxins, and support your skin. You’ll notice a difference when you wake up!
Use an Enhancing Lash/Brow Serum

Long eyelashes and well-groomed brows can entirely transform your entire face. Unfortunately, the eyebrow pencils and mascara we use to achieve the illusion of full brows and lashes can cause our hair to become brittle offer time. This autumn, try opting for a good quality eyebrow or Lash serum instead. The Organic Eyelash and Eyebrow Energizing Serum is my go-to here. A tiny drop of the serum goes a long way, and at just under $25, it’s a far more affordable option to some popular chemical-laden serums, which can run you over a hundred dollars per bottle.

Make Your Own Vanilla Coffee Body Scrub
If you want to add a final bit of fun to your beauty routine, this is my absolute favorite body scrub recipe. It’s an inexpensive secret of mine, and it only costs about a dollar to make a full mason jar of this stuff.
The Ingredients are I Cup of Sugar, 1 Cup of Left Over Coffee Grounds from your French press or coffee machine, a 1/4Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract, and 2 Tablespoons of Liquid Coconut Oil

First, mix together your sugar and coffee grounds in an empty mason jar. Afterwards, add in your vanilla and coconut oil. Using a spoon, combine the wet and dry ingredients. During a hot shower, apply the scrub liberally over your whole body, massaging your skin gently in circles to exfoliate it. Afterwards, rinse your body thoroughly with warm water. While you shouldn’t put coconut oil on your face if you are prone to acne, this is an amazing scrub for the arms, legs and torso. The coconut oil will mean you don’t need to apply lotion afterwards. Plus, this smells amazing! If you don’t like using coconut oil, you can substitute a tablespoon of whole milk yogurt in the recipe instead. This scrub will last for two days in the fridge if covered.

Enjoy Loves!
